I have a Frigidaire LAD504TDL dehumidifier and code 'ES' shows on display. What does this code mean? Unit runs but not much water in tank.

Is it less than a year old? You can claim on the warranty.

The water bucket seems to have to parts that might snag, the handle and the float arrangement. It just slides in on two tracks. If there is no water in in, tip it onto its back and see if it is mis-tracked.

I understand the fan is not running on your Frigidaire dehumidifier, model# LAD504TDL. I suggest resetting your appliance, by either unplugging it or shutting the power off at your home's circuit breaker, for 3-5 minutes. Sometimes there can be a miscommunication between the different boards inside your appliance. Restore power and listen for the fan to come on. Do you mean error code AS instead of A5? If so, error code AS commonly refers to a sensor issue. Because it is a smaller appliance, repairs are often more costly than the actual unit replacement. You may want to check and see if your dehumidifier is still under warranty and if so, reach out to the manufacturer to determine the exact warranty coverage.

AS or ES is fault code for Humidity Sensor Failure. Contact Frigidaire Technical Service at
800-944-9044 for assistance. This part may be warranted for 2-5 years from date of purchase. You must have a Proof of Purchase for a warranty claim. If nothing else, they can tell you which sensor needs to be replaced and supply the part at your expense.

Read the instruction manual thoroughly and ensure you did everything exactly. If it still doesn't work it is faulty and should be returned.

Dont spend to much time trying to repair dehumidifier they are very cheap to replace. Most dehumidifiers have lots of problems because they are made so cheap. Just replace the dehumidifier you will tank me in the end.

Hi

The tank may be full. Your dehumidifier has a safety device that turns off the dehumidifier when the water tank is full. Usually the tank itself either presses against a switch or there's a device connected to the tank that triggers a switch when the tank is in place and full.


If you've emptied the tank and the unit doesn't run, inspect the place where the tank rests to see if there's a switch or mechanism that's not being activated. You may be able to turn it on with a simple flick of your finger.
