Door locked then threw the code so now the door is locked and will not open. ...Whirlpool Oven - has E1 F5 ...
Hello, the lock latch is located directly in the center upper portion of the
door. It is a hook shaped latch that lock by turning downward. This
lock gets stuck in this position which causes the e1 f5 error code.
Locate the latch through the vent holes in the upper front of the oven
door. Insert flat
headed screw driver into vent hole and gently push latch up to a
horizontal position & simply open door. Once unlocked, push cancel
on the control panel. This will clear the error code and resolve the
issue.
E1 F5 means your unit is having a problem with the door latch and lock assemble turn the power off for 10 min. and after turning the power back on wait another 10 min. before opening

The control (TIMER) has likely failed in this instance - BUT...
Sometimes when you disconnect power to a range and reconnect it the electronic range control gets confused. You should disconnect power again for 15 seconds and reconnect and see if that helps.
If it doesn't cure the E1- F5 error hold the bake button in until E0- F2 appears in the display. This is the error for a stuck button on the keypad and is the way to clear the memory of the electronic range control.
Sometimes these work, but if the control has failed it won't make any difference.
