Aspire one laptop I turn acer on and screen shows Harddisk Primary Master ST9160310AS lock

I trying to reset my Laptop with Google Search no luck yet,can you help?

All solutions point to having to contact the drive manufacturer or laptop manufacturer. There is good explanation in the Tom's Hardware thread at the end, about a 'master password' ...

Try removing the main battery and unplug the power, then hold the power on button down for 30 seconds, if this does not work, remove the cmos battery for 30 seconds to reset the bios

You need access to a computer with Internet access so you can download a Hard disk password unlock program.

If you changed the bios battery, or removed the hard drive, the machine will lock you out as it thinks it has been stolen. You will need to contact Acer to get this unlocked
