Strange one here, The turntable in my Microwave wont turn off, even after timer runs out and micro shuts down when you open the door the turntable just sits there and spins without a care in the world

Owners manual doesn't say anything about the table and there is no one/off button on micro itself, this just barley started and it makes it hard to remove hot food while chasing the table around in circles

Power to the turntable motor is supplied by a relay mounted on the main control board ( the part behind the control panel). Sounds like the relay contacts are stuck in the closed (on) position. You can try getting to the main board and tap the small box looking parts on the board with something like a screwdriver handle and see if you can get it to unstick. If that doesn't work---board needs replaced.

RE: Samsung microwave SMH7187STG mfg'd 5/08. I heated cup of tea 2 min. Then I closed micro's door & micro emitted a continuous electrical buzzing sound.I opened door & buzzing stopped.

The cook relay on your control board is shorted, and the unit is cooking whenever you close the door.

When the magnetron overheats, its thermostat opens, shutting power down until the unit cools to a safe level, then power is restored.

I regularly repair these with my $54.95 service, which includes insured return shipping.

Details are here, or for full information and instructions, please e-mail me here at [email protected] and remind me of your full model number and symptoms.

Troubleshooting- microwave turntable and fan run constantly when door closed, door switches test good, timer can be set and oven runs otherwise; need amana microwave ACM1580AS wiring diagram

I'd look for a defective relay or shorted triac on the control panel circuit board. Either could cause this problem.

Mbbs 01 thermador micro oven: timer counts down, lights go on, but no heat, no fan and turntable does not turn. is it a fuse?

Key clue is table does not move---All microwaves with a table have a lever switch that is engaged when door closes--only can get at from inside the unit----it prevents the unit from operation if door not closed.

What happens from closing door a lot is the switch with a lever arm can come loose or even if snapped into a plastic holder break out of the holder.

IF this it is not too expensive a repair.

Microwave turntable keeps turning even after timer is off and door is open

There are one or two door switches that have become defective, they must be replaced for normal operation.

I have a model number EM925RSL-B and the timer counts down but it does not heat up or turntable does not move?

I just bought an RV with the exact same microwave and the exact same problem. The problem with mine is the switch that detects that the door is closed is not getting activated. The reason for this is is the finger at the top of the door is damaged as well as the plastic piece that the finger grabs onto when the door is closed. This causes the finger not to come into contact with the switch. To test this you can turn your microwave on and start it. open the door and using a small screwdriver, depress the micro switch you can see upper right side of the door opening. then press start again. your turntable will start turning and the microwave will make a louder noise as a fan will turn on. CAUTION! Release the button as soon as you see the turntable rotation as you will be receiving microwave energy due to the door being opened.

My GE Spacemaker (HVM1540) will not turn off. Often when we use it and open the door to get food out, then we reclose the door and it continues to run. Even after hitting Clear/Off it continues to run...

Ok I have the same model and mine was doing the same thing. Apparently this model has a reputation of problems with the control board. I played with mine for hours and here's what finally worked: unplug the unit (or shut off the breaker--whichever's easier for you), take a dry cloth and wipe the door latches and control board clean of any residue. Then with the door still open, gently jiggle the control board by firmly grasping with your hand. Power up your unit again. This worked for me. The control board is really fussy and should be clean and free of any dust or residue. I notice this happens again when it gets dirty so I repeat the process and it's been working.....so far!!!

Turntable wont stop turning, even when not in use

The turntable is a seperate intenty from the microwave itself, I would presume that the switch that turns off the turntable when the door is opened needs replacement.
