You don't say whether you have a single or double but if you go to www.babytrend.com you can follow the links to the pram you have and will be able to download the instructions from there.
Hi, I believe you activate the folding mechanism by pushing down on the two grey rectangular plastic buttons on the black side hubs (at the mid point of the pram).
If this problem persists, I would suggest that you contact www.quinny.com or return the pram back to where this was purchased as you may need to have the cylinder replaced (this controls the automatic opening and closing operation)
I went to the Valco site and wrote and email to the Support Team and they emailed me the instructions to collapse the Toddler seat with the pram. The pram now 'squashes' nicely!
