Raypak 2100 Digital 266K BTU Natural Gas Pool Heater Logo
Greg Santer Posted on Jun 02, 2015

I have a Raypak 2100 265A. The circuit board flickers very badly when it s warm. I bought a new board and installed it. It is giving me the error code GVO. The old board still works when reinstalled.

New board is PN 241169 and uses a 3 wire thermocouple and has internal pilot high tension.

SOURCE: Replacing PC Board on Raypak 2100 Model 185 - connector differs

Sorry, I don't have an answer for you, but please let me know what happens.

I am in the process of buying the new board (# 010253F, right?) It hasn't arrived yet, but I'm assuming I'll be in the same situation. BTW, I am replacing mine only because the LCD screen is totally blank. Everything else about it is ok.

Please let me know what you did. My email is [email protected]

Thanks in advance,
_Steve

SOURCE: Can't light my Raypak Pool Heater.

Often you can see the pilot if you use a small mirror. With the button on the gas valve pushed down you should get pilot. Once the pilot is lit it warms the TC(thermocouple) creating the static charge to open the gas valve on it's own. The TC is set in the pilot assembly. It will be a small tube like piece with the wires coming from it. Some times you can pull and replace it but I will usually get the whole pilot assembly and just replace that. It will probally be rusted and can be cloging the tiny orface on the pilot itself.
If you have a milivolt meter you can check the TC by pulling the wires that come from it at the gas valve and with the button on the gas valve pushed in and a good flame you should get 500-700 MV from the TC. This is 1/2 a volt+ so you will need a MV meter. But this will tell if your TC is bad or if your valve is bad.
Good luck.

SOURCE: what diameter size galvanized pipe do i use for

Refer to the owners manual as the pipe size is dependent upon the length of run the pipe will be, the pressure your fuel system operates at and the fuel you'll be using. If you do not have the manual you can find a copy here. Refer to page 20.

The new board may have the actuator relays and connectors on the main board. If so plug the wires in. If that is not the solution then you can call the Raypak technical support line and they may be able to direct you. Good luck.

Onboard graphic (vga) chip problem

You never said that you ininstalled the drivers for the cards. Try this:

Uninstall current graphics card drivers. Right-click My Computer and select Properties. Under the Hardware tab, find the button to open the Device Manager. Your graphics card should be listed under the Display Adapter heading. Double-click the name of your graphics card to open a properties window for your current card. Last step: Under the Driver tab, click the Uninstall button.

Install new drivers. Turn on your PC and install the drivers. Windows XP should automatically recognize the new hardware and walk you through the installation wizard. If Windows doesn't detect the card, click Settings from the Start menu. Open the Control Panel and click Add Hardware. From there, a wizard will help you install the new drivers from the CD that came bundled with your new card. It's a good idea to check the graphic card vendor's Web site for more up-to-date drivers, just in case the vendor has released drivers since manufacturing your card. Once you've downloaded the drivers, simply restart your PC. Now, you're ready to start gaming.

If this doesnt work, then your card is BAD.
Let me know how you make out.
