Power problem? I have one of these monitors but not the original power adapter, so i use a universal.The Power seems to come on the go off, so basicly it flickers on and off. the green light flickers too! any ideas on how to fix?

The computer store sells universal power supplies that will work with your monitor, and they may even have the exact replacement.

6A is OK, HIGHER CURRENT is OK but not higher voltage, the main key is that the pwoer supply MUST be REGULATED power supply. Does it say that on the universal power supply that you have?

make sure the output wattage and voltage of the universal matches the original, if not you can damage the PC. look on the actual inverters, they take AC wall voltage and Transform it to DC power, the specs will be listed. some universals have switches to adjust the voltage, etc.

well, the connector that comes from the 2nd speaker goes into the speaker port in the back of the first speaker.

The wierd cord possibly fits into the 12v dc slot in the back.. and the other end would go to a power adapter..

Seems you are missing a power adapter,, like you said earlyer.

Basically you would need a standard power adapter which fits into the speaker.

You could get some universal power adapter for it like

Theres the power adapter in the middle, I think the odd cord goes to the back of the first speaker and the other end would go to a power adapter.. try contacting jbl they should be able to get you what you need.

Seems you have everything else you need except for the power adapter.

I did not have a power adapter for my lcd monitor but after 2 weeks of searching stores, internet and universal adapters I found the power adapter for my specific monitor on ebay. If that doesn't work I would suggest a universal power adapter.

you can set positive and negative of the universal power adapter 110v to 220v.

Try another power adaptor. Check the delivered voltage and go get a universal power adaptor that has a switched for varios voltages and a number of connectors. Simply match connector to the voltage switch.
