Best WebM Video Converter-Convert Sony AVCHD to WebM with HTML5 on Windows 7

AVCHD MTS/M2TS to WebM Converter-Publish HD videos Online via HTML5
Sony CX700 AVCHD to WebM format for web sharing with HTML5

I have a Sony Handycam, Sony CX700, which produces .mts files for each clip I press the start recording and pause button. The videos will be used as a presentation on my website. I use VideoJS as the private web server, and make the video compatible to most browsers with HTML5 code.

However, I would like to put some clips together and cut some useless segments and get videos in WebM format. After googling solutions for converting CX700 AVCHD to WebM format for web sharing with HTML5, I find Aunsoft Final Mate as the best choice for dealing with the videos for web sharing. It provides direct .webm as output format, and also allows me to download selective clips for joining and editing.

Below is the fast guide for you to convert AVCHD files from Sony camcorder to .webm file on Windows 7. It also works .m2ts files on Windows XP, Windows Vista.

Step 1. Import Sony AVCHD footage to Final Mate.
Run Aunsoft Final Mate as the best AVCHD MTS/M2TS to WebM converter on Windows. Connect the AVCHD CAM to PC and follow the wizard to select files for importing to the converter. If you have the AVCHD files on PC hard drive, just go to the Resource tab, click the Add Path button to browse the folder with the .mts files.

Step 2. Join CX700 MTS clips.
Select the files from the Resource or Camcorder tab, drag and drop to the Movie tab to create a single movie with several clips. To get another file as output, just click the Create New Movie button, then drag and drop other clips to the new movie ID. The files are joined/merged automatically.

Step 3. Deinterlace 1080i to 1080p. (optional)
If your camcorder provides 1080i recordings, you can tick the checkbox for deinterlacing to remove the lines and make video as progressive mode.

Step 4. Convert MTS to WebM format for HTML5.
Click the Export button, and go to the last tab. Choose Common Video > WebM Video Format(*.webm) as output format. Then click the OK button, and the WebM video converter will convert CX700 MTS files to WebM files for HTML5 on Windows 7.

When the conversion is done, you can publish HD videos online via HTML5, and present videos on webpage.

Tips:
1. If you would like to upload the videos to YouTube or Vimeo, you can use the lossless mts output function to get files within seconds.

2. If you are running Mac OS X like Leopard or Snow Leopard, just try Aunsoft Final Mate for Mac as AVCHD video management tool on Mac.
