If your tablet does not have the right version of Android then you'll have to unlock the tablet and load it with custom Android ROM that includes Google Play. Cyanogenmod is one type of ROM. There are plenty of ROM versions for all kinds of tablets with detailed tutorials for "flashing" the ROM over your current table operating system.
