For sebo felix upright - the brush head is not turning on once the foot pedal is released. i cleared the brush roller and unclogged it, but no green light.

Most vacuums will start the brush roller when handle is pulled back. Why your loosing power could be for many reasons. Are you losing power on brush roller or suction? Please reply.

broken belt or motor for roller

some machines have a 'safety' built in where if the belt is broken, other items like the lights don't work. Check and replace the belt first. It's also very important to keep the tubes that suck air unclogged, and clean the filters EVERY time you use it

Take it to your dealer. Sebo has a 7 year warranty, your dealer can repair it.

I understand 240v to be 240 volts. of electricity- no vacuum should have 240v. that amount is used on elect. stoves, air conditions,welding machines and large electic appliances. Check the belt drive and the manual for the green light operation- I still don't understand the 240v deal.

I had the same problem. Make sure nothing is clogging the airway, then bring the handle down as if to clean but dont turn it on. Press the 'light' button in and then turn it on. Hopefully that should do it.

The real clue seems to be the brush is not turning, a bad belt is possible or a blockage at that head, if you cannot get the brush moving the rest does not matter.

It has a belt that may be broken or jammed that turns the brush.

Just the other day we had a customer bring a Felix in to our repair shop with the same problem. Although she'd had the Felix for several years, she'd never realized that one of the buttons on the base is a foot-operated switch (the left hand one as you see it from behind the machine). Hers had been "on" from day one, and never been switched off... until she'd obviously inadvertently pressed it without noticing and switched it off. Then she thought something had broken.
It may be as simple as that. So, does the green light come on when you operate the foot switch? If it does, and the brush doesn't spin, you have most likely got a problem with the motor (or possibly the circuit board) in the base. If the green light does not come on, there is most likely a poor (or broken) electrical connection where the bag compartment plugs in to the base.
I'll gladly try to be more help if you want to post more details.

If you are sure the base is clear, and that the flexible hose and attachment tube are clear, the only other common place for a blockage is the swivel neck that joins the base to the bottom of the dust bag housing.  Here's what to do:
Press the housing release button (front bottom of bag housing) and lift off the bag housing from the base. This can be quite hard (three or four hands would be helpful) but be sure to lift straight. When you've got the bag housing off, release the foot pedal and lower the swivel neck to 45 degrees.  Check inside the swivel neck channel closest to the foot pedal, and clean it out as necessary.
