I cant advice properly about ur fax problem bt about ur miss-printing of ur printer its may b cause of ur colout cortex,change it with new one or fill colour.

try by buying a new cartridges like the one you use before and clean first the print head to remove the smodges. see also you manual for compatibilites and instructions. ill find another solutions if this wont help you.

you can't disable color printing, but you can put a piece of black electrical tape over the window on the color cartridges so that the machine thinks they are full. Once they dry up you won't be able to print in color again.

try unplugging the machine then replug good luck

Brother Intellifax 1840C the only one thing you can to do is stick masking tape around the cartridge, there is an switch, when you take off the cartidge the switch is off, when you put it on the switch is on, this is out = "off" and in= "on", do the same with the other colors.
