My tv loses picture and sound after being on for 3 to 4 min.

I can get them back after turning the tv off then back on again,but it does it again 3 - 4 min later.

If you have a smart tv and you have a pair Bluetooth device in the house turn on. It could be paired, thus turning the sound on to the Bluetooth device.

Otherwise you have a faulty video or processor board, or which ever board control the sound.

Vizio 42", have picture for about 5 mins then screen goes black.

also check the power cord wire coming from the back of the tv is loose from the tv side or perfect.

I turn my tv on the picture and sound all work and after about 20min the picture goes to a black screen and I still have my sound. I turned the tv off wait about 5 min turn it back on the picture come on...

If you have electronics experience - check the power supply and make sure you are getting the correct voltage to your inverter boards and main av board - also do you see any movement on the screen take a flashlight and shine on the screen - if you can see a dark image on the screen check inverter boards and power first.

I lose the picture after 20 - 25 mins. I turn off the TV and turn it quickly back on and the picture works fine; then 10 - 15 mins goes by and I lose the picture again. I turn the TV off then quickly back...

it probablt needs power supply capacitors, if you can take it apart and inspect the power supply, the bad capacitors usually are expanded and have a bulge at the top, you would need to solder these parts in, so some skill is required.

Tv keeps disconnecting from digital tv, returns within 5 seconds but highly annoying! pictue goes blank and sounds goes aswell , almost like the tv has turned off only to restart itself

It sounds like it is loseing signal, check your connections, and make sure you have the correct cable

Have picture lose picture tv turns off and on

the lamp has a life cicle. if yours is been used a lot. then the lamp has to be changed. when the tv cannot turn on steady and gets off imm. the computer inside the tv tries to turn off the set but the lamp charges again and the micro tends to keep working. the first step to take in this tv is to change the lamp to eliminate this common source of problems
