The E53 error means that the drum speed control board (centripetal motor switch) is giving an abnormally low voltage. The problem could indicate that the speed control board is bad, the wiring is faulty or the main control board has a problem at this wiring harness connection. Check the wiring for any damage (check for continuity and corrosion at the connections). If the wiring is bad, replace the speed control board first.

Good Afternoon Friend, thank you for allowing me to assist you!
An error code E58 could mean a number of issues, but primarily that the motor is overheating or a higher-than-usual motor current caused by other issues. Typically, an experienced technician would remove the belt to check the motor and motor pulley to ensure all is in working order first. Their next step would be to check the tub pulley and tub bearings. Last items they would examine would be the drive motor and speed control board by ohm measurement. Once the tech has ruled out a number of possibilities, he or she can pinpoint the exact problem and the necessary part to fix the issue. Since parts can often be quite costly, I would personally recommend reaching out to a qualified tech who can accurately diagnose the issue your washer is experiencing.
Its likely you need a new motor speed control board, its the most commonly replaced board in these washers. On this model its located underneath on the right or left wall. You can't really test this but try putting the washer in to the Spin and Rinse cycle, if it doesn't spin then that is most likely your trouble.I did a quick Google search and found this page for the part:http://www.appliancepartspros.com/frigidaire-control-board-134743500-ap3891780.html
If you take off the bottom panel you should find tech notes that will take you through troubleshooting procedures. What you are likely looking for is to troubleshoot the speed or motor control board. If you find that the motor control board is bad, here is a link to the part you will need.It is the most likely suspect for your problem.
HI. Your unit is equipped with a Motor Speed Control Board. This board regulates the spin speed, with the help of a tachometer, which, is located and mounted on the motor. When this Control board is experiencing issues, the spin will not preform at optimal performance. I recommend to replace this Motor Control Board asap. Once replaced, the unit will spin properly.
Don't have resistance for wax motor. It works or it doesn't. If the door locks with 120 volts to the wax motor it is working. From your checks you have the tech sheet out of the unit so I won't go take mine apart. Check the voltage fro the timer pins that the trouble shooting says to check. Also check the pressure switch. If it reads full it will not put power to the spin. That's not in the tech sheet.
remove the bottom panel will find a tech sheet there with more specificinstructions and the speed control bd is under the tub on the left hand side unplugged the unit before checking and the door lock is part of the com system turn the washer and see if the door lock light comes on try to open the door with the light on if you can that's where the problem is
Sure if one of the windings in the motor is bad or on the board. There should be a tech sheet behind the washers bottom access panel that tells you how to test the motor and board.
