E8 is just a generic 'the oven isn't working code'. The most obvious thing is a failed element. Check it with a digital multimeter.

You can perform this test:
Test Mode: Accessed by holding Cancel and Broil keys down for 3 seconds within 5 minutes of power up. The test mode cannot be accessed if the oven temperature is above 400?F. When test mode is activated all digits will display "-". To exit the test mode press Cancel or auto exit occurs 16 seconds after last key pressed.

Turn off the circuit breaker to the dishwasher for 30 minutes, allowing time for the appliance to cool; then restart the cycle. If error returns, check the heating element for continuity and check the wiring harness for any obvious signs of damage. If the heating element shows infinite resistance after testing with an Ohm meter, replace it.

i20 error code means:
Water is not pumped off and could be:

• Fault with discharge pump

• Discharge pump deenergized (faulty wiring or no activation by electronics)

• Obstruction/blocking (filters in the appliance, discharge opening in discharge trough, discharge pump, discharge hose, siphon, cover plug at siphon connection not removed during first commissioning)

• Discharge hose bent or connection height above 100cm

• Ball valve in discharge trough glued / blocked (discharge pump does not aerate)

or water level inside appliance is not detected and than
could be:

• Pressure controller faulty

• Pressure controller hose obstructed or bent

• Insulation fault with heating element

Go to the local appliance repair parts store- they will have generic replacement elements and will likely be able to get you a right one for your dryer.
You should know if possible two things: model/serial number for your unit and length of the heating coil. (perhaps you've already taken it out)

I am not a repair professional. I am just a 78 year old man who has been making his own repairs for about 50 years. Therefore the dryer ID doesn't mean
anything to me. Over the years, I haven't had much trouble with my dryers. The E56 error code means high motor current. To help you find out why, I suggest you go to www.applianceaid.com where they have very good trouble shooting and repair information on dryers and other appliances. I think you'll find what you need there. You can probably verify the meaning of the error code there. Good luck with it. If I have helped you, please rate my advice on fixya.
