Lights and fan simply won't work, how do fix it?

My light blew on my extractor and since then the fan hasn't been working. I've since replaced the light bulbs but it hasn't helped the situation. Has my fuse maybe blown? If so where do I find it and how do I fix it? Thanks, Young Biology Student without a clue!

If it is a fuse your fuse box will be located under hood and sometimes you may also have two fuse boxes , one under hood in a black box in plan view that says fuse and relays. remove the cover and look under the lid. you will find descriptions and placement labels under cap. find your fan and lighting fuse if blown replace with recommended fuse. same goes for other fuse box under dash or located on driver side or passenger side of dash in between door and dash. must open door to view fuse box.

Check the brake control switch situated just above the break pedal arm under the dashboard. Could be a wire loose or unplugged or the switch itself could be faulty

Hello. Try looking at the black earth that goes from the drivers door and into the A frame which is covered in a rubber sheath. The wire can break after opening and shutting the door over several years and as it's normally the thicker wire is more prone to break. Also check the other wires visually for any chaffing and tugging on each wire. If more electrical parts start failing, air con blowers etc it will be an earth. Hope this helps

Interior fan hasn't worked properly for some time, would only work on fan's highest setting. Now we've got no air at all, regardless of setting.

Blower motor RESISTER has went bad. Its behind the blower motor; small hands are a definite plus for changing it.

It sounds like you blew fuses other than just the main fuse. Hooking the battery up wrong can destroy major components as well, like the starter, battery, Computer, moduals. You might need a good shop....

Peugeot boxer van 2007 changed interior light bulb blew fuse, renewed fuse, lights worked, but emissions lights on dash board came on and won't go out. Help

Try reading the OBDII with a code reader and see what it is then erase codes and see if it stays off ,could be more than one circuit on this fuse so the fuse blowing has thrown the light on for whatever reason ,Also try disconnecting the battery just out of interest for a few minutes and reconnect it might go out if your lucky

  • If there are no brake lights period the check the stop switch (brake light switch)
  • This is attached to the upper part of the brake pedal itself. Should be a little wire off of it. When that goes bad the brake lights will not work at all.
  • Please note that the fuse for "brakes" is ABS only and has no bearing on the brake lights themselves working.

Hi, a normal PATS response is slow blinking. Fast blinking indicates the transceiver is not reading the transponder. Can you tell me your model and year? I've had some success in bypassing PATS in the column, but it depends on the model and year.
