Have a westinghouse lcd tv 50inch model ew50t5kw and would like to know before changing any parts or boards what causes a blue screen no sound or picture

in this case i have to know if your tuner is working fine or not. First of all i like you to connect any external player Exp. DVD or blue-ray player if that works with audio then it is inverter board. if audio doesn't work then its main board. Also you will find out that if dvd is working fine on your tv than your tv setting is wrong or the tunes is dead. either way if tuner is gone then you have to change the main board. Either way let me know what went wrong i can provide you more information about what part need and where can you get it from.

Try to check if your Tv works with any external device for example Dvd or blue ray player if it works fine then you know that your tunes is out. Either way you have to change the main board. Depending on the model you have you might need ether the inverter board or you might actually need the power board. You are likely to find both these parts at www.shopjimmy.com or by emailing [email protected], you should always have a certified technician fix your TV but it doesn't take a rocket scientist to change ether of these boards.

I'm willing to bet it's the main board. Its the board that all the video and audio inputs. What is the model number I could find the part for you. You could change it out yourself, Its not that hard. Let me know.

HAVE A WESTINGHOUSE LTV32-6HD. HAS SOUND, NO PICTURE. APPROXIMATELY 8 MONTHS OLD

Screen goes black, sound unaffected. Can be remedied by turning off and immediately back on, but it will do it again and again and again.
