Foot control pressed: everything gets hot except the wire tip itself
A couple of possibilities:
1. Remove the belt. While using the foot pedal it is necessary to see if the motor moves freely without excess heat. If there is a problem the motor must be replaced or fixed.
2. Try to turn the machine without the motor attached by using the hand wheel. Does it move freely? If this is a problem the part that is causing the resistance must be found. Especially check the hook (under the bobbin case), needle arm and monitor moving parts.
3. Is the belt in good shape? If it is not so good then replace it.
4. While the belt is attached the motor must be cocked to allow the least resistance and most speed while the motor is running. This must be done carefully while the motor is running slowly. (foot control) The adjustment can be done most accurately this way.
5. Clean and oil all moving parts.
6. Make sure the bulb is the right size and not touching any of the metal surfaces.
