The charger cable does not fit into the Kindle port correctly. I have to wrap the cord around the device and put tension on it in order to charge my Kindle.

My tablet won't charge

First try to charge it with a different charger, and test the factory charger on another device (you tablet may have the common micro USB connector). This will test if the charger or cable are bad. But if the tablet will not charge with a different charger and cable, and it is still covered under the factory warranty, return it for a refund or a replacement.

I have repaired many tablets with a bad charger port, and it seems to be either a poorly designed connector, or an open wire inside due to pushing in too ******* the cable into the port.

if you cannot replace the tablet, maybe you can find help from someone who can open the tablet and fix the charger port.

My Samsung tablet won't charge when plugged in

Does it have a micro USB charger/charging port? This was the universal charging adapter most manufacturers other than Apple moved to around 5 years ago. In my experience, the charging port to charger connection can become loose and prevent charging....especially if you use the tablet or phone during charging. The best method I have found to troubleshoot the issue is to try a charger that successfully charges another device and plug it into the tablet or phone. If your device still does not charge, and especially if the connection is loose, it is most likely that your charging port is damaged. Another possible issue would be the battery itself but the charger or charging port is the most likely culprit for your issue.

How do i fix a battery on a samsung tablet

The problem may be a frayed wire inside the charger cable right at the connector, or the charger jack may be worn or have a cracked solder connection. If it charges reliably with a different cable (such as a USB cable connected to the computer, it is probably the charger cable. If it has to be wiggled to get it to charge with a known good cable, then the charger jack should be replaced. This requires an expert technician; the solder connections are very small, and the circuitry requires special handling because it is easily damaged by static electricity.

Where can I get a charger for my kindle

You can charge it from a USB port if you need to. the cable you need is a USB to Micro USB cable.
You may have one laying around, or the your wall charger for your Kindle may have a removable USB cable that you could plug into a laptop for example.

Otherwise you can always get a new wall powered charger from ebay

P5113 not charging properly

There are a couple of common problems that can cause bad charging:
  1. Bad charging cable - try a new cable
  2. Bad charger - try a new charger, or try plugging it into a PC USB port overnight with the PC turned on
  3. Charger is not the right charger for your tablet - Samsung devices are known for being picky about what charger you use. If you don't use the original charger that came with the device, or a Samsung charger made for your specific tablet, you will have trouble.
  4. A bad/broken charging port on the tablet - this is not something you can fix yourself. You would likely have to return it to Samsung for repair, or find a local repair shop.

Htc wont charge and turn on

If it won't charge then you may have a defective charger, a failed battery or a loose solder joint at the charging port. If your charger plug is fitted with a fuse then consider checking the fuse is okay by trying a new one. Also, check your charger on a friends HTC, check their charger on your HTC. It really is a process of elimination to find the issue yourself.
The HTC won't turn on because it isn't charged, until you fix charging prob it won't turn on.

Kindle will not charge from out let or computer

Please clarify: what charger did you use to connect to an outlet? The Kindle 3 comes with an USB cable to charge from a PC or Mac computer and no charger outside for many countries outside the US (for other countries an external charger is available from Amazon as optional accessory). Use of a different charger (e.g. mobile phone charger with USB connector) is not supported, not recommended and may fry your Kindle if a wrong voltage is hooked to it.

Things you can try:
  1. Use a different outlet to charge the Kindle.
  2. If you use the supplied USB cable to connect to a PC, make sure its firmly seated on both ends. Connect to a powered USB port directly on your computer. Some external USB hubs do not come with a separate power supply (external power supply is mandatory for an USB 2.0 hub, some cheap models are sold without one anyway) and are not suited to charge anything. Just to make sure, disconnect any other USB device except mouse / keyboard to check if the USB port in use is not burdened by too much drain.
  3. The Kindle power LED should glow amber while charging and green if the device is fully charged.
  4. Give the Kindle a reset pressing Home --> Menu --> Settings --> Menu and select "Restart." If the charge light is on but the device is still not charging, contact Amazon customer service.
  5. If the charge light does not light, the AC adapter or cable needs to be replaced.
  6. Contact Amazon customer support for any warranty issues.
