Question about Toshiba 32ZH46P

How do I access advanced menu options so I can adjust overscan settings?

I've just brought a BT Vision box and now the picture is too big for the telly, it cuts top of peoples heads off! There are no settings on the BT box that affect this and have tried the tv picture format cinema, wide, 4:3 etc but to no avail. someone suggested that the telly had additional hidden settings where I can change overscan settings. Can you help? thank you.

Get to the on screen tv menu and look for aspect ratio change that ,save and exit

Can I record programs from the BT vision box to my USB to watch on my PC

Usually it works the other way around: you download videos to your PC, copy/transfer them to a flash drive and then watch those videos from the flash drive on the big screen of your TV rather than on your PC's not-so-big screen. To do what you want, check if your BT Vision box has the capability to copy files from its internal hard drive to the USB flash drive.

BT Vision uses Freeview plus catch up TV. Freeview requires a retune because they are making way for new channels. Retune the DTV part or your BT Vision box.

I have just purchased a new 26 inch TV, full HD version, from Curry's. It was purchased to use with my new BT Vision + box. O have tried to get my BT vision remote to work my TV but all the codes offered...

Picture too large for screen

Press "wide mode" on TV remote until it is on "full". Check for same on set-top box.

Screen cuts off top of heads

Check the menu settings for the picture. You may be expanding the image to fill the sides, in the process, cutting the top and bottom.

Haze cloud picture that cut people head off...

the picture sounds like its blooming, you must turn down the screen control on the back of the fly-back transformer, or the transformer has gone defective more likely and needs replacing

How do you connect bt vision to a sony bravia kdl 37v4000.I have it working ok on freeview only but the bt vision appears on analogue channel 6 and the vision remote changes the tele channel not the vision...

Sounds like you cant have set up the scart cables properly. Im unimpressed with BT for not setting it up for you, why didn't they?
Plus you will not need the freeview box if you have BT Vision, so i would take out the freeview box and just connect one end of the Scart lead into the back of the BT Vison box then put the other side of the lead to the Back of the TVs scart socket. Then all you need to do now if change the channel to AV1 OR AV2 or whatever channel you have.

on your remote push the arrow key to the right or left side. this should change format and go into customer setup and turn of autoformat

BT VISION BOX

The Hard Reset you have been given is wrong, the one listed here is a Soft Reset, a Hard reset is done by unplugging the power cable and then on the V-box press and hold down arrow and ok buttons together while reconnecting power cable back in, the full software install should take 20 to 30mins depending on your b/band speed, you will also need to have a NEVOSS account setup for the v-box to register on the server (i'm a BT Vision Engineer)

Big black box at top of screen

If you mean that a black box appears on the screen, and you can still see the picture around the box, it means that your closed captions are on and set to TEXT. If this is the case, enter the menu, navigate to the closed captions page and set the captions to OFF. If you mean that the top of the picture has collapsed down, the vertical circuit has stopped working correctly and the set should be serviced by a qualified tech.
