My guess is you've got a serious ground potential difference between the camera and the receiver or a shorted cable in between. Disconnect the cable at the receiver and measure for ac voltage between the ground (shield) and ground on the receiver.
If there is none, try just connecting the cable to the receiver.
hi have the same issue found it to be red power black negative yellow video white audio and bare wire is the shared ground for the yellow and white hope this helps
I HAVE A MICROMARK CCTV ITS A SCART TYPE IT TELLS ME IN THE INSTRUCTIONS TO PUT THE SCARTLEAD INTO THE SCART ON THE TV WHICH I HAVE DONE I AM GETTING THE PICTURE OK BUT THERE IS NO SOUND ALL I GET IS A HUMMING SOUND JUST LIKE YOU HAVE NOT TUNE IN THE TV PROPERLY I CANNOT TUNE IN THE TV AS ITS ON THE AV SO CAN ANYONE TELL ME WHY I AM NOT GETTING THE SOUND WHEN IT TELLS ME WHEN I PUT IN THE SCART THE SOUND WILL BE PICKED UP . OR COULD IT BE THAT ITS A TV COMBI VIDEO
If it's just an DVD Player, the easist way is just run a skart lead from the player out socket to the spare skart (ext2) on the TV. Then choose ext2 on your TV remote.
