Try to check your drive if you have "autorun" on the context menu.your malware came from on your thumb drive.you can erase it by booting on safe mode.then check your msconfig by running on it.on run type msconfig. then unchecked unfamiliar program running, sometimes it hides in system32.sometimes exiplorer, autorun.inf those kind of scripts running while booting normal mode.go to command line then make your directory on c:\ then type the following command-dir /ah to view the hidden file on your drive c:\ then attrib those hidden file.then erase it then reboot to normal mode.then if you've got same problem try to create new user on windows xp.

It sounds like you may have an exploit on your system! If you restart in safe mode and log on as "administrator" (not your user, the machine administrator). To boot into safe mode, immidately after your system displays the startup messages, press F8 TWICE, scroll up to safe mode, and press enter TWICE. You should be able to go to the run command and enter "taskmgr" (without the quotes) or ctl-alt-del. You might need to do a little footwork to see if you have been exploited or (hopefully) just messed up your access accidentally.

Problems booting up--no access to toolbars, etc. on XP

Hi,

To resolve this issue, simple trick is, when it stands at the wallpaper without Start menu and Task bar, Press Alt + Ctrl + Del keys

Then select TaskManager.

In the Task manager, select Process Tab.

Under that select Windows Explorer process and select End

Again click on File menu in the same Window and select New Task.

Type Explorer.exe in the blank and click okay--OK

That should bring the complete screen.

Modem driver

Hi Mofya,

HINT: your presario may not really be a V2000. My fiance's V2000 is actually a V2402AU. Try searching for the drivers for that model instead.
