Peter,
830mm equals 32.68 inches. You will just have to look at the specs of any dishwasher that you are interested in and see if they will fit in less than that height. Most dishwashers that I have installed would fit between 32 and 34 inches in height. Hope this helps!

Thank you John , I had been trawling through the specs but it is very tedious so I hoped that someone would know . I have asked Currys and they have confirmed that none of their stock are 830. I think that the modern spec is 845 and I will have to change my entire kitchen to fit a new dishwasher!

Replace gu1200 heating element

Heating elements are expensive and can be tricky to fit and reseal everything.
Consider buying a modern high efficiency one and use less power in 2015.
Good luck.

I have a Whirlpool integrated dishwasher ADG 7560/1. Can you tell me if there are any points where it should be screwed to my kitchen unit sides or surface to stop it moving when I open the door. Thank...

There should be two metal tabs on top of the exterior cabinet that you use to screw the dishwasher to the underside of the kitchen counter top. The feet are also adjustable on most models so they are not only level, but also to make the unit fit better inside the access opening under the cabinet where it is installed.

Plumbing issues for under the counter frigidaire mini dishwasher

Your right the one with the rounded end and nut is the intake. It is supposed to be attatched to your faucet. Adapters may be needed. The other is the drain hose, make sure it is attatched firmly, you can't just throw it in sink or BIG mess will follow!

Need to find ''smaller'' model stainless steel dishwasher

This is an unusual need and before buying any you might find, I would recommend entering the mfr.'s name here at FixYa (or elsewhere) to see how their reliability rates.
While not an absolute indicator of reliability, you are looking for an uncommon size and you don't want to end up with one made by a company (which may be smaller than most) who doesn't warranty and support their products.

MAYTAG DISPOSAL UNDER SINK WON'T START

There is a metal conduit around a wire with an L shaped plug on the end.

This plug fits into the disposal, from underneath on the outside, so that the end faces the "gismo" which magnetically closes the connection.

Get under the sink and pull it out and examine it. If it looks OK put it back in as far as it goes. If this does not work you need to replace this part.

Miele Dishwasher G664

Make sure the drain line goes up as high as it can then strap under sink, then let it come down to disposal. This acts like a trap so water roll back into dishwasher.

Leaking coffeemaker

Water leaking in the DGB-600 is mainly caused by heated water escaping from its proper path. There is a rubber grommet on the underside of the upper part of the coffeemaker. (It contacts the lid over the filter basket when the front door is closed.) The design in this area is very poor; the grommet does not seat properly in the fixed part of the coffeemaker, and heated water seeps out. Also, the heated water tube that comes up through the cold water reservoir is actually in 2 pieces. One goes inside of the other, but there is no seal. It is a loose enough fit that some steam escapes, condenses on the inside top surface of the coffeemaker, and then finds its way down to add to the leaking. I completely disassembled my coffeemaker (3 of the screws in the upper compartment are hidden under small circular plugs that look like they are part of the plastic surface), and used high temperature automotive RTV sealer to help the rubber grommet seal better, and to seal the 2-piece hot water tube. Works great now! But I must say that I have seen better engineering in childs' toys!

Hotpoint dishwasher

Did you have a dishwasher before? If so, you must have had a sink tail piece with a dishwasher drain coming off the side. For the connection, you may have to get an adapter to fit the end of the dishwasher drain hose to the sink tail piece. Take all pieces to hardware store if necessary to get an adapter which fits. After you connect the drain hose, make sure that the drain hose has a "high loop", meaning that the hose curls up at least 6 inches above the connection point before it goes down again. This is important to keep sink waste from getting back into the diswasher hose if the sink drain backs up.
