Hi I just replaced the element on my hotpoint aquarius it work fine for about 10 minutesthen just went to cold air I checked the element and it seems fine what else could cause this to happen.

Check your thermal fuse. Also, the upper limit thermostat could have taken a nose dive. Another culprit could be the centrifugal switch on the motor, but that's pretty rare. Also, make sure your vent hose and venting system to the outside is clear of any obstructions. That's usually the reason why elements and thermal fuses burn out.

Good luck!

The dryer is blowing cold air, no heat.

Find your thermal protection switch. It looks like a big round button with two screws holding it on either side. (Make sure your drier is unplugged!) There will be a wire going from it to the heating element. It is what regulates the temperature, so it doesn't overheat. Unplug the wires off it and check across the terminals with an ohm meter. It should have full continuity. If not, it's your problem. Replace it. Easy repair.

I HAVE A HOTPOINT AQUARIUS WD62 WASHER DRYER. THE DRYER FAN TURNS ON BUT DOES NOT HAVE ANY HEAT COMING THROUGH, ONLY BLOWING COLD. CAN YOU SUGGEST WHAT NEEDS CHANGING? THANKS - RICHARD S

It will be a faulty thermostat or element more than likely, or a broken wire.
Remove top cover, and you will see the heater manifold over to the right side, there you will see the element and thermostats.
You will need a meter to test them.
Hope this helps.
