Cdp-cx355 not unloading cds

No cds on turntable table initializes correctly no cd displayed, put one cd in turn on loads cd ok, plays cd ok, if eject cd or open door cd still loaded wont unload, turntable motor runs but cannot move table as table is locked in position by cd load mechanism, comes up with table error. only way to get rid of error is to manually unwind mechanism to unload cd any suggestions

SOURCE: the cd turntable will not stay open to load/unload

the timing marks on the feeder gear and the tray gear have probably skipped a tooth from some one pushing it closed.there is a limit switch on the gear that tells the cpu to stop it.if it stops in the wrong spot,it will close after 10 seconds.take off the top cover.on the side of the tray on the right is a long track gear on the underside.there is a clip that hold it from coming out.push it and remove the tray.
check the timing marks on the other two gears .then reinstall the tray

SOURCE: My MegaStorage Sony CDP-CX250 won't play any

I would check the drive is not blown, as that is what sounds like has happened
take a 5v dc feed and run two wires to the motor to see if it spins up ,if it doesnt spin replace the motor , if it does spin then the problem lies else where in the circuitry

I just replaced the Sony carousel belt and everything works. But now the front display intermittently turns off (even though the CD continues to play and the buttons will work if pressed)

The display maybe broken and not working and has quit working and you can replace the display screen or use it then with only the display screen is not working.

CDP cx355 cd doesn't spin

You can clean the lens with a small amount of windex and put a little oil like 3 and 1 oil on the spindle motor shaft and on the sled rails. Good luck !

Don't run anything but a TURNTABLE through Phono. That's the only labeled input that's literal. Use any other Line Level input for the CD.

If you don't have anything connected to the Tape loop, use the Tape In connectors.

When power up table spin both directions theb display show table error. Sonny cdp-cx355

the sensor for the table cna't read the table movement. it's an optic sensor and it might be dirty or obstructed. you can open up the unit and blow out any dust with canned air. check the sensor for damage.

Turntable is wacky

try loading half your discs on one side of the turntable and the other half on the other side and see if that solves it.
