When my phone is recieving an MMS, it has this screen that pops up saying "connecting..." Then it usually says "message failed would you like to retry?" after about 2 minutes of connecting. To what, I don't know. If it manages to get past the connecting, it has a "recieving message" screen that takes about two more minutes. It only actually recieves about half of the messages that get this far. Also, the connecting screen has recently been popping up and then disappearing after about a minute without any indication of who I missed or what kind of message I missed. Help me!
2 reasons you cant receive mms messages. 1st you have to turn your mobile data on even if your on wi-fi and 2, your phone must be set up to receive them ( you do this by ringing your provider and ask them to send you mms settings , you will get a text from them with the settings in)
Testimonial: "Thank you. I think I contacted my provider once already, but I don't have internet data as a part of my contract. Is this the same thing? Previous phones had no problem receiving MMS without internet. Also, why does it receive some, but not others?"

no its not, they should of sent you a message ? then you have to open the message, read it,turn phone on and off then delete the message ...all phones can receive them when the settings are done .. try asking for the settings again or a message on how to set it up manually ( it could have something to do with the size of the photo/senders settings/ or mms settings ) hope this helps
