The reason nothing shows on the Dashboard is because your tracker hasn't synced. If there is no communication Fitbit won't know what your tracker is up too.

I'm not sure what device you have but the Zio is the only unit with a battery that can be taken out.
The others you might want to clean the charging contacts, turn off then on the Bluetooth., restart the Fitbit, restart the phone, remove the Fitbit from the BT settings on the phone or computer, restart phone/PC, add the Fitbit as a replacement device. My him

With computer turned off take out battery and wipe off contacts then reinstall battery. If it is still empty after letting it sit a bit to see if it is charging you either have a bad battery or the charger in the computer is bad . that is an expensive fix. usually not worth the money unless you have an expensive computer and then that probably would not happen.
