Go to microsoft office--> microsoft office tools--> microsoft office picture manager--> help--> detect and repair--> check restore my shortcuts while repairing.

This should restore all the microsoft office shortcuts.

I have been guilty of locating the program file, creating a shortcut to it, and cutting and pasting the shortcut to the desktop. Although it works, it is not pretty! The aforementioned solution is preferable.

Had a power outage and now garage door opener won't work. Is there a fuse in the machine that could have blown?

The remote might not work if the memory was lost during the outage. However the switch on the wall should work because it is hard wired to the motor. Reprogramming may be in order.

Battery Back-Up not coming back on after power outage. Charged for several days without anything plugged in with trip button pushed in. Surge side still working. No beep light or anything on battery...

Does the unit have a breaker on the back? There may also be a fuse. You should be able to find a users guide on the CyberPower website.

If the unit may have failed during the power outage.

Lost power due the storm' when power was restored micro. never came back on

Possible that during the power outage there was fault in the mains supply and with the oven being plugged on it is possible that the power supply or the main board is damaged.
Unless you are able the top cover it is difficult to confirm if this can be silly fault like a fuse blown which is on the mains circuit or a Step down transformer or the processor board.

Lost power and need to reset the timer.

Aube timers have back up battery that recharges after power resumes.
Battery should hold programming during outage.
If battery does not charge, then screen doesn't light up and programming not possible.

Aube makes several timers.
Aube timers and manuals posted at following link.

If you have different timer, add a comment

During a storm we lost power just for a second. When the power came back on my tv was dead. I have a 15DLV76. What should I do?

Yep, thats the way power outages work. They usually destroy your electronics which is why you have to unplug just about everything. The tv needs repair.

Sony CDP-CX450 Cd Player

Hi,

As in most current devices, absence of power (as in shortages/outages) simulates a reset. The reset reverts the unit back to factory defaults which of course does not have user configurations and settings.

A workaround perhaps would be with the use of a UPS as those used in computer systems.

Hope this be of initial help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information.

Good luck and kind regards. Thank you for using FixYa.

Ups troubles

What is happening here is you are transferring load to battery during a power outage but on return of Line Power the UPS is not smoothly transferring back to Normal mode. As a result you are basically turning off your computer. Two options... shut down your computer orderly during an outage or buy a new UPS.
