Bottom right hand rear of unit has valves which allow water to flow to ice cube trays. Possible cause, dirt in line or valve stuck closed. Disconnect power from unit, hook up a small 12 volt transfomer and force the valve to open and close a few times. Saved a bundle this way myself.

Water dispenser works fine eliminates some potential probems, so disconnect the water line at the outlet of the water valve leading to the icemaker. Blow into the tube (with the freezer door open so the air has an escape route.) If you can't blow through the tube, check where the tube passes into the freezer section for an ice blockage. This would result from a water valve not shutting off 100 %, allowing a little water to dribble in and freeze the inlet shut. If you can blow through the tube, most likely the electric solenoid coil on the water valve supplying the ice maker water is bad. In either case, replace the valve. (it is a dual solenoid valve, part # 2315533)

Thank you, I am going to go check right now

The bin has to reach the thermostat bulb before it can shut off. take s cube or two and rub it on the bulb. (the small wire looking thing on the side of the inside is the bulb) If everything shouts off then its working fine just needs to fill up, if not filling up - well that's another story. If you do this with 2 cubes and it doesn't shut off the thermostat is bad. Replace it and your problem is gone.
Hope this helps please rate me even if you read this more than 1st time please rate me accordingly and Good Luck.

I just replace my kitchenaid icemaker. My model is 4317943. And it comes with a sheet of menu. I scan a portion and hope it will help.
