6 hp lawnmover spark plug gap

For a proper answer more info is needed. Here's a Briggs site that has spark plug gaps listed. Gap is not hyper critical for running.
.030-.045 will work. The only time I've seen gap matter was when it was too close like .005, the engine wouldn't run.

Gap setting for a Champion RC12YC spark plug is .030

.030 is the correct spark plug gap.

The correct gap is .035

did you usae a new head gasket and clean the old gasket off? does the plug get gas? you must have spark, fuel, compression and timing in order for it to run. also did you gap the coil to flywheel spacing?
