Getting lots of air pressure but no paint comes out

You have old paint that is plugging the pick-up line. you need to clean your sprayer very well each time you use it. I hope this helps you out some.

Air Brush blwa air out of tip but no paint. Whats up. Please help!!!

most common problem is paint, it is too thick, second problem is your feedline/needle block.

before you put your airbrush apart - remove paint from container, wash well with appropriate solvent, put some of this solvent to the container and try spraying, if no solvent comes out - adjust needle stopper, this is dual action! have needle adjustment! as you did not give the model and manufacturer, this can be only and only general advice!

if still nothing comes out - prepare butcher paper, disconnect airline from the airbrush, disassemble the gun putting the parts on the paper in order in which you disassemble it. wipe off the needle with soft cloth, use drop of solvent if needed. clean body and container assembly and check for liquid flow from container to the nozzle, it should be steady drop, if there is no flow, then use special brush and if you do not have one, soft copper wire of smaller diameter than the passage to clean mechanically the passage. check again for liquid flow. re-assemble the gun, use bit of vaseline or paraffin to grease the needle and moving parts before re-assembly.

use solvent first to check liquid flow. adjust needle, pattern and size of the max flow. remove solvent, put paint into the container and use normally.

in 0.2 nozzle, paint should be of virtually water density... if this is opaque paint - need to be strained as any impurities and bigger chunks will clog the outflow...

hope this advice will help you with your problem - and i do earn some points from you...

I am using DeVILBISS JGA_510 cinventional spray gun. The pressure pot system is showing constant pressure , but the gun is sputtering and not getting an even paint flow. I have changed paint lines, put on...

First start with the basics, whats the paint VISCOCITY ON A FORD 4 CUP ??
Or Does it run nicely off the stick you stirred it with??

If its thin enough to go up the tube and lines, whats the fluid tip and air cap combo your using?? maybe start with a EX fluid tip (1.8mm) and 30b air cap (cos that sprays everything!!) and reduce from there.

Whats the pot pressure?? Is it a KBII pot? cos they suffered with the air inlet blocking, so IT SHOWS GOOD PRESSURE, but doesnt have it in the pot!

Does it spray anything?? thinners?

Airless sprayer, paint comes out like silly string

In order of ease/cost to fix: First, check your spray tip. Most of them are reversible to help spray out any debris that may be lodged in them. Next, check that all of your filters are clear and let paint flow freely. Depending on your model there are up to three, one filter in the spray gun, usually in the handle, another filter is at the pickup tube and some sprayers also have another filter on the machine where the hose hooks up. Another cause may be because your paint is way too thick or not mixed well. A highly recommended paint additive for airless sprayers is Floetrol, it makes the paint flow extremely well. If none of these fix your problem you may well have a worn packing or diaphragm, again depending on your model, and the machine isn't developing enough pressure to atomize the paint. If you have the means put a pressure guage in line with the hose at the machine and turn it on. You need at least 1200 to 1800 psi for most latex paints, a little higher for enamels and thicker paints.

Spraying paint instead of air for the first action

Make sure the needle is pushed completely up against the tip. You will possibly have to take the back handle off to adjust it. (I am not familiar with this paint gun specifically). Make sure you do not force the needle into the tip, gentley push it until it stops.
I hope this helps.

The air is flowing back into the color barrell

First of all we must know how is works, that is air enters the brush causing a vacuum at the paint hose, where the hose is dip into the paint barrel,so paint will fill the vacuum where it will attend the brush,so if the air mechanism in the brush is glogged air will flow in the paint barell.Solution is to dismentle the brush and clean the air mechinism

Does this dental air compressor have a oil pressure safety switch?if so, where is it located? can I find a wiring diagram

Air compressors are designed to operate many different tools. The value of a commercial air compressor is many times greater than the purchase price because of the amount of work a single air compressor can perform. Dental air compressors are some of the most reliable because of the high-quality air they supply and precision tools they operate. As a result, dental air compressors can be adapted for a number of different tasks, including artistic air brush painting
1.Disconnect the air compressor from the dental tool air supply. Pressure and air supply rate-of-flow settings are different for air brush painting than for air delivery for dental tools.
2.Reset the air pressure on the tank to a range between 15 and 20 pounds per square inch (psi). The exact operating pressure for airbrush painting will vary, depending on the application and the type of paint used.
3.Reconnect an air-supply hose and a siphon style airbrush to the compressor.
4.Fill the airbrush's paint vile with lacquer-based paints. Test the air brush and paint performance on a piece of cardboard, or scrap piece of cloth
material before beginning the painting project. Every time the air compressor is connected to airbrush, or a new paint color is loaded into the brush, a short test spray should be performed. After each test adjust the air volume, and the paint flow in the gun to achieve the desired results8_16_2012_1_32_17_am.jpg

IR 210g - using thicker paint

i dont have so much as a solution as a couple of things you can try to figure out whats going wrong.

make sure your compressor can handle 10.5 CFM @ 50psi
hook up the gun and dry spray it to check for blockages in the air supply
if the air comes through strong and constant, fill the paint hopper with water and spray until empty
if the water comes through constant, add half of the hopper with paint thinned with penetrol or floetrol
if the paint is coming out weak or spotty, make sure the vent cap is open on the paint hopper
if the cap on the hopper doesnt have a vent, try spraying with the cap off or cracked a bit.
if that doesnt work take off the hopper and check the filter for blockages.

i suggest straining all your paint before pouring it into the hopper
