I f these lines are slightly diagonal and they all showed up at the same time. you probaly have an open resistor in the ABL circuit. since your set is 13 yrs old, I would not put a penny into it.
You might take the front grill cover off and the panel behind it and find the little black box with 6 little controls 3 are for focus 3 are for screen turn the screen ones ever so slightly counter clock wise. the control in the middle is the green screen adjustment. If the green line goes away try the one labeled r for red and b for blue.
If the lines are slightly diagonal and in red, blue and green you have a problem in the ABL circuit. if the lines are only one color you may take the front grill cover offf and remove the panel. look fro the black box 2 inches square with 6 little controls on it. 3 are for focue 3 are for screen the middle on of the screen is the green adjustment the other 2 should be labled r and b respectivly. what ever the color of the line turn the control labeled screen and r b or g for that color ever so ligtly counter clock wise.
I had same problem. First went in tomenu and went to set up settings and went to convergence area. I then reset this back to default, which I later was told I should have not done so do not attempt this it will temporarily fix issue but problem will persisit.
I found a local tv repair man thru tvrepairguy.com or something like that as they are hard to find.
The issue turned out to be the convergence boards or circuits, He then went in to master control and rset the convergence settings for the main picture by lining up the red and blue lines on to a white cross on the screen until it is black and white with no red or blue protruding vertically or laterally. He then did this for 7 points around center picture moving the lines. He suggests you play with this for awhile in a position you would normally sit in and at proper eye level to give you the truest picture for alignment. The part cost 109 to replace with labor and service total was 331. The repairman was very nice and explained the issue should be fixed and we should get another 6 to 7 years out of television.
Hope this helps,
Your alignment is off. Go to the set up menu then convergence. hit right and you will be in the convergence menu. select the color that is not in alignment. The green line does not move. if blue and green are lined up the line will be cyan. if red and green are lined up the line will be yellow. when all three are lined up the color will be light. Best of luck!
