Power went out now back on. Samsung rs261mdwp has 1 blinking light on freezer side. What is this and how to fix?

you have spent $1395.00 on a machine you hate
most people get rid of it after the first $500.00 bill as new fridges cost around $1000.00 and you get 2 years warranty
smart people with new fangled fridges power them through a quality surge protection device as well

if the fan is still running when you open the door , the I would be leaving that idea as a last resort
try this
get 2 taper door chocks and put one either side at the back of the fridge
push the cabinet sideways and slip one chock in a bit then do the other side
many noises are from the bottom plate that the compressor is mounted on from tapping on the floor and lifting it a bit stops the noise
the same as when you open the door the pressure on that plate is removed and so it stops hitting the floor

Replace your bulb in your refrigerator

try unplugging and back in . or turn breaker off then on

If your questioning is how to replace it its no easy task. It involves removing everything from the freezer and all the shelving. The back inner panel of the freezer compartment and then removing and replacing the fan. Followed by reassembling everything.

Is RS261MDWP the correct model number? If you left the freezer door open there is an excess amount of frost covering the evaporators because moisture was drawn inside and has frozen on the evaporator and is too much for a normal defrost to get all of the ice off and drain into the pan below the refrigerator. It may have also frozen over the condensate drain and not allowing the water to drain. You may need to clean the drain hole and defrost the refrigerator manually and insure the evaporators are clear of backed up water. If you don't there is a chance the refrigerator will continue like this until you do. Let me know what the status is so I can help.....Sea Breeze
Does your model have two evaporators?

if the filter is dirty enough to where it stops the flow of water then yes.a replacement of the filter should fix the problem for you

Try resetting the aplliances' system by unplugging it, waiting a minute or so, then replugging it.
