PS3 error Code 80010514

I need some help! my ps3 was acting up about a week ago (or less) it was having troubles reading a game i had rented (overlord 2) it was working for the first few days but then all of the sudden it stopped working. I would throw in the disk but it just wouldnt read it. so me thinking its only having a little bit of troubles ill just take it out wipe off the disk a little bit and throw it back in. about 10 minutes of this and finally it worked. so when ever it happened again i would do that. for some reason though all of my games i threw in were not working as well. so now i knew something must be wrong with my ps3! but me being an idoit didnt think about looking after the problem just figured the games are being read. sure it takes a while but i can still play. now just today i threw in one of my games [prototype] and the playstation 3 thing pops up does the little music thing, then the screen goes black and flickers a little bit with a greenish tint on the black screen and goes back to the ps3 menu and it says "An error occurred during the start operation. (80010514)" and thats pretty much it!
oh yes it lets me on the ps3 network and lets me play demos, it also plays non-blue ray dvd disk's!!!!!!!!!
so plz if anyone can tell me of a reason why its not working and also a solution of how i can get my ps3 to work again it would be great!
