Question about Hunter 52" Ceiling Fan With Light And Remote Control
Help! I broke a bell shaped marble glass shade. It does not get kept in place by screws. Rather, its base is shaped like a triangle, and clips in the light fixture secure the shade. I have seen many look alikes, but all seem to use the screws to stay in place.
I spoke to the people at hunter, they have two styles available , neither match the existing one that I have. They said I could send mine in and they would replace it possibly if it was a manufacturer defect. I think it is a design issue. Glass is heated and cooled repeatedly and the base becomes brittle, mine fell and put a big dent in my table. good luck finding a replacement if you dont like what they have.

I'm also looking for the triangle quick twist or quick connect glass shades that hunter has discontinued. I have 2 identical fans in the same room so I will have to replace both light kits if I can't find the shades. Mine are frosted white swirled. I need 2. Anyone out there want to sell theirs? If not, I have 4 to sell. Email me - Pgweller at gmail dot com.

I have 3 globes if anyone is still looking for some! I think they are frosted white swirl and have the triangular top to twist into the light kit. Can email pics if anyone is interested.

This is for the Hunter fan, model # 28072, light kit that uses the Easy Lock globe. After quite of bit of leg work on my part I have found the globe part # and Hunter does have the part. search Google using 'hunter fan parts guide for model 28072' as the search and then click on the [PDF] Parts Guide - Hunter Fan -- http://www.hunterfan.com/SupportDocuments/PartsGuides/98000-01-219.pdf. This parts guide has the info. The globe cost me $6.00 and shipping was $10... still cheaper than a complete light kit. Hope this helps someone else down the road.

I have the same problem my boyfriend was playing his toy helicopter in the living room and chipped and cracked the light shade cover and its a triangle top the twists in place and not held by screws. I called hunter and they are closed due to the holidays, if any one has any ideas of a place I can take the broken one too to be fixed please let me know. If hunter doesn't have the exact one I'm going to find a glass place the can fix or repair the broken one.
