Click Start and then go to Printers and Faxes (XP), Printers(Vista), Devices and Printers(Win 7)
1. Right Click on your printer Icon
2. Click Open or See What's Printing
3. Click the option that says Printer on the upper left corner of the window that pops up.
4. Make sure the only thing that is checked under that menu is Set As Default Printer.
5. If Use Printer Offline or Pause Printing has a check mark. Uncheck it.
Try printing again. I hope this helped.
If it used to work, then try unplugging and
reconnecting the AC power cable for USB scanners. No guarantees at all,
but it may work. Unplugging and reconnecting the Firewire cable in XP
also sometimes works. Give it a few seconds to be detected.
Could you please provide me the version of the opearating system you are using and also let me know the connectivity between the printer and the computer(USB/NETWORk(wired or wireless)) in oreder to provide you the exact solutiuon.
And also let me know if you get any error messages either on the printer or on the computer when you try to print or scan
Blinking lights on the printer normally indicate a hardware fault. http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?docname=c00859572&lc=en&cc=uk&dlc=en&product=1100995&rule=19351&lang=en is the HP page with more info. You should be able to get an error message from your computer, the details being on at that webpage.
I also own an HP D2360. I had the same problem with eyang and vinerc. I brought the printer to a computer technician and he told me that my color cartridge is busted and needs to be replaced. I bought a new color cartridge and presto! My printer is working fine.
