my 98 passat estate has a fob with the drivers key which activates the alarm in the boot,bit like an immobiliser, just put it in the hole located near or on the alarm,should hear it beep.don't know if its a factory fit alarm.hope this was helpful.
USE SOME SPIRIT OR WHITE PETROL ON THE VOLUME CONTROLER ITS JUST BECAUSE OF MOIST TURE AFTER USING SPIRIT TURN THE VOLUNE CONTROLER TO END AND TO MIN TWO THREE TIMES
x over frequency sounds wrong , level match head unit to amp , see amps gain , turn it all the way counterclock wise first then check , check surround on sub .
Same thing happend to me, this is not a fix but a work around.
If you have a surround sound stereo use the fiber optic output
for your sound.
Then in the menu selection audio turn off the internal speakers.
Are you using a cable box/satellite box/home stereo system/etc? If so you most likely have the cables connected incorrectly. How do you have the cables set up?
