my 1996 jeep grand cherokee lmtd. won't start did tune up. cranks but no fire. please help. engine code 54 shows up . cam shaft positioning no signal. . tested all circuit. changed cam shaft positioning sensor twice.still cranks did start once ran for 5 min. changed the sensor again. no luck. help please. keith

Just a thought you might want to check the plug that connects the coil to the wiring loom .......maybe some corrosion .

check for vacuum leaks make sure throttle bodygasket is not broke and inplace and check fuel pump pressure.

Could be a sensor.I'm thinking more along the lines of a fuel pump or fuel filter.If the fuel pump is going bad..similar symptoms.Would be advisable to install a pressure gauge at the engine,and check fuel pressure when it's acting up.
