SOURCE: I have a Mitsubishi SL2U

If the focus lens is meant to be taken off from the front, it can be unscrewed, howevery I believe you will have to take another approach.

I tried to take one of these apart one time, and all I could figure out was that I had to take the whole lens piece off, and get to the lenses from the rear of the assembly, so to speak.

Here is the manual:

Wish I had a diagram, but hope this will help.

Funai dvd recorder e3 error

THat means it is unable to record successfully.
Try cleaning the lens with compressed air in a tin, (used for cleaning).
Do Not use a cleaning disc, as that can lead to permanent damage to the lens and focus coils.

My Toshiba Camileo HD-DV Camcorder won't focus

If your Toshiba Camileo HD-DV camcorder is not focusing properly, there are a few potential causes and solutions to try:
  • Check that the lens is clean and free from any smudges or fingerprints. Even a small amount of dirt or debris on the lens can affect the focus. If the lens is dirty, try cleaning it with a lens cleaning solution and a microfiber cloth.
  • Make sure the lens is not blocked by any foreign objects, such as the hood of a camera bag or the edge of a cap.
  • Try adjusting the focus manually using the focus ring on the lens. If the focus ring is not responding or is difficult to turn, the lens may need to be serviced.
  • Make sure your camcorder firmware is up to date. Check Toshiba website to see if there is any update available and instructions on how to update.
  • Make sure the camera is not in macro mode. Some cameras have a separate macro mode that enables the camera to focus on objects that are very close. If you are not trying to take close-up shots, you may need to switch out of this mode.
  • Make sure the scene is well lit. Low light can make it more difficult for the camera to focus, try adding more light to the scene or use the manual focus.
If none of the above steps work, it is possible that the camera's autofocus system may be malfunctioning and will need to be repaired. It's best to contact Toshiba customer service or a local camera repair shop for a diagnosis and estimate for repair if the issue persists

How to repair or unstick Sigma K zoom 100-200mm macro - tele focus stuck at infinity

Remove the lens from the camera, set MF on the lens, try gently to free it by hand. If this works, clean the contacts on the lens and camera body - if not, it needs repair.

Hi. My video is a JVC GR-D73U. When I turn the video camera on and try to record, the focus works continuously, trying to get a clear image. It does not succeed so the record is very hazy. I forgot to...

The most likely cause for this is a zoom or focus lens out of place or impaired in some way. This will require disassembling the camera to remove the lens assembly and then disassembling the lens block to repair. This can be done fairly inexpensively but it's not really a user serviceable problem and should be repaired by a qualified service technician.

My name is Rick and I'm a professional repair technician with over 20 years in the business and have repaired many of these. I'm semi retired and work from home with little overhead so I can keep repair costs low. If you decide to have the camera repaired, please click HERE for a directory listing that suits your needs.

First off, that is the focusing screen and you have to learn: NEVER USE ANYTHING BUT A BLOWER AND A CAMEL HAIRS BRUSH TO CLEAN IT. REpair/replacement by a camera repair shop is authorized.

Error 99 and jerky fixation of focus between 17 and approxinately 30 mm works perfectly at zoom lengths beyond this with normal rapid fix of focus and records image normally. the error and failure to...

'Error 99' indicates some problem with the AF contacts. This is a common error in Canon lenses. It could indicate a very simple problem like dirty contacts or a much serious one like the breakage of USM cable.
As a first step, you can try cleaning the lens and body contacts (the metal contacts between the lens and body) using a pencil eraser. Be careful to hold the body facing down so that no dust falls inside. After cleaning both the lens and the body contacts, re-attach the lens and try shooting. If the AF does not work still, you need to take the lens to an authorized service center.
For the jerky focusing ring, you need to get the lens serviced by an authorized service center.

Try removing any filters, if you have any on the lens. Check the front and rear lens elements for dust/fingerprints and clean if necessary. Check the mirror (remove lens and take a look) and very carefully clean if dirty. Remove the lens and gently clean the gold contacts on the back of the lens and in the lens opening of the body with a pencil eraser. Don't let the bits fall inside the body. Try the focus outdoors in good light of a scene with lots of clutter in the frame to see if the problem only occurs in low light. Check the menus and make sure the focus assist lamp is in the on position. Let me know if these solve your problems.

If you have recently dropped the camera you may have damaged the lens tube (housing). This damage will prevent the lens from moving properly and will cause the camera to shut itself off after a few seconds. If the lens is damaged the camera will require professional repair. If the lens is not damaged, the problem may be battery related. Make sure that you have the correct battery type installed, and that the batteries are fresh/fully charged. If the problem persists, you may have corrosion on the battery contacts inside that camera that is preventing full battery power from flowing to the camera. Remove the batteries and wipe the inside camera contacts firmly with a dry cloth (heavy corrosion may require cleaning with a wire brush, steel wool, or sand paper). Remove any residue that may have fallen into the battery compartment during cleaning, then wipe both ends of the batteries and reinstall them in the camera. This cleaning solves the problem about 90% of the time, and I hope it works for you.

Both previous suggestions are wrong. Your machine displays 'wrong disc' as you are trying to use a computer grade CDR, this machine needs a 'consumer audio' grade cdr that are more expensive. Google the manual, it explains further.
