I am trying to install a 9s-4/hc danco stem in my shower. I can only find instructions for one handled showers. Does anyone know of a video or a site with pictures to help me with this project?

SOURCE: replace delta single handle shower cylinder

Yes, I believe this unit uses a cartridge right? They do fit a little tight due to the small washers on the back side of the cartridge. If this is the one I'm thinking of, there are two leg like appendenges that come off the back and fit into small holes at the back of the manifold or what some call mixing valve housing.

SOURCE: shower diverter push handle is squirting water out

If you are handy, the best solution is to call delta and have them send you a new diverter. They will need the model of your faucet. The new diverter will come with instructions on the install process. As far as fixing it without the new diverter, I don't believe you will be able to.

HOW DO YOU ASSEMBLE AND INSTALL A DANCO 9S-4H/C

Turn off the water supplying the faucet. Now open the faucet. Remove handle by taking off index button and removing screw. You may need to purchase a handle puller, 10-15 dollars, and a stem wrench set. After removing handle, place appropiate sized wrench on stem and turn counter clockwise. Before installing stem, make sure it is in the open position. You may need to use the handle to turn the new stem. Screw in clockwise.

I bought the Danco replacement stem for a milwaukee faucet(part 4s-6h/c) it is leaking from the handle... do I need to replace the plastic part that runs back into the pipe? Is there an easy way to remove...

Sometimes on the stems on the side the handle attaches is a nut that can be tightened. Inside this nut is a rubber or other type of seal. tightening this nut stops the water from coming out of the handle. If the nut has already been tightened then possibly need to replace this rubber seal.

I bought a Danco 3H-10H/C, Hot/Cold stem. The problem is, it seems to be setup for hot (clockwise closes the valve, counter clockwise closes it). Is it reversable? Or is it not really a hot/cold...

One of two things has happened. I'm assuming you only get hot water when you open the valve and that this is for a single handle control shower fixture. If so either this is the wrong valve for your shower control or it is installed backwards. Sometimes the valve can be installed at either 180 degree angles. See if it can be installed any other way. If so this may solve the problem.

there is never a fiction ring at the washer end, sometimes there is a cup shaped part that holds the washer but nothing else so it must be intended to go around the stem

Thae stem you got that said hot/cold were designed to fit old style cross handle faucets. So both hot and cold turned the same way. If the cold side you are replacing turns the opposite direction then you will need to get a cold stem. Danco does make them. Ask the retailer where you purchased the H/C stem. I hope this helps..
