I don't have the manual either, but my problem is more with setting the timer on and off. It's a mechanical timer and it's ticking endlessly.

Thank you for any assistance you could provide.

Yes. I have the same problem as well. The dial description has come off on both heater and settings.

I still have the manual, but the manual only shows 7 settings, plus the settings are not in order.

Can anyone take a photo and email it to me?

I have two sources that give correspondances between thermostat numbers and temperatures.

This is the first one:

THERMOSTATS
ARISTON OVEN - bullette1.gifThermostat 1 30°C - 85°F Thermostat 2 60°C - 140°F bullette1.gifThermostat 3 90°C - 195°F Thermostat 4 120°C - 250°F GaARISTON OVEN - bullette1.gif bullette1.gifThermostat 5 150°ARISTON OVEN - bullette2.gif Gas mark 2 bullette2.gifThermosARISTON OVEN - bullette1.gifg;C - 350°F Gas mark 4 bullette1.gifThermostat 8 240°C - 460°F Gas mark 8 bullette1.gifThermostat 9 270°C - 520°F Gas mark 10

The other one is a formula: t = 20 X (T + 3)

where t is the température in °C
T is the thermostat (1, 2 ... 12)

As you may discover, each of the methods give slightly different results. Hope this will help.

My ariston oven won't turn on. The stove works and

check and see if the broil works in the oven ,2 if it turns on meaning the element in the top turns red then this generaly means both side of the switch are good. and you need to replace the element on the bottom of the stove.now turn off the stove .1st unplug the stove. 2nd there are 2 screws at the back of the stove on a metal plate which is attached to the element take them off.3rd gently pull out the element about 3 inches until you see 2 wires. there are 2 ways the wires could be connected either push on or by screws if you dont see a screw abviusly its push on. just grab the end of the wire ON the connecter and grab the elemnt at the connecter and wigglethe connector back and forth while pullin on the connecter. wala. now locate the model number and go to amazon.com or your local parts house and install in reverse

I need correct temperature readings

On most US ovens the high temp is 550f and the lowest is around 100f for warm. I would imagine 1 is warm and 5 is 550f so 2 would be 250 3 would be 325 4 would be 425. Or you could say ribs and slow cooking 2, cake 3, cornbread 4, and 5 would be broil. The only way to know is set each number and place an oven thermostat in there to see what the temp is fer each number. Personally my grand mother cooked on a wood stove and never had a knob, she just shoved the biscuits in the oven and added another stick of wood.

Got a fan assisted gas oven. Trying to bake a cake

Temperature control with gas ovens is not an exact science. However the control should be better than you say.

Have you tried reducing the set temperature to compensate for the 'overshoot'. It may be worth a try.

How do i turn on a flavel milano 50 oven?. Never worked with gas stoves before and no manual in sight.

Turn on the gas knob for the oven (below the grill)
You will see an ignition button below the one that switches on the oven light,it is clearly marked.
Press in and hold the gas knob and press ignite button, you will see the safety bar flame light, when the safe to operate temperature is reached, the oven will stay lit after you release the gas supply knob.
Set oven temperate guage (gas mark 4 is approx electric 200 degrees, thats all there is too it
Hope that helps

There is no gas going to my oven. Only the

hello, i can help you. first of all, if the broiler works then you must have gas coming into the stove. as far as getting to the gas line, it is in the rear of the stove. typically you have to pull out the stove to get to it. that said, here are some things to consider.

Not all gas ranges/ovens require electricity. If yours has a clock, electronic igniters, self-cleaning, or any other electrical features, the unit needs electricity to work properly. Check to see whether there's power getting to the range/oven. Does anything turn on--even a light? If not, check for a blown fuse or tripped circuit breaker.

It won't bake If your oven won't bake, check these:

Bake igniter
Other causes
Bake igniter Usually when an oven won't bake, it's because the bake igniter is weak or burned out. The igniter is a small, round or rectangular device, that's about 1 inch by 4 to 8 inches. It's near the burner itself.

The burner is the tube-type device the gas flows through before it's ignited. It has many small holes on the sides to let the gas, when ignited, form a long, low flame. If the igniter is weak, if it glows red but doesn't get hot enough, or if it's burned out, the gas doesn't flow to the burner and the burner won't ignite. If this is the problem, you may need to replace either the igniter or the gas safety valve. Usually the igniter is to blame.

Other causes Other reasons that your oven may not bake are:

  • The clock settings are incorrect (if you have timed baking or a self-cleaning oven).

  • The thermostat is defective.

  • The safety valve that prevents accidental gas flow is defective.

  • The selector switch is defective.

It bakes poorly Here are two instances of when food "bakes poorly:"

  • When the item takes far too long to finish, you probably have a weak bake igniter. Often, you need to replace the igniter, but you may want to troubleshoot the oven's electrical system further to more precisely locate the defect.

  • When the temperature is consistent but too high or too low, the oven thermostat or sensor is either mis-calibrated or defective. If your oven uses an electronic temperature-regulating device, you may have an electric sensor in the oven instead of a mechanical thermostat. If the oven temperature is off by 30 to 40 degrees in this type of unit, you must replace the sensor.

On many units with a mechanical thermostat, you can remove the thermostat knob and adjust the knob itself to more accurately represent the actual setting of the thermostat. If, when you remove the knob, there's a screw on the back of it with a small calibration plate, you can loosen the screw, adjust the plate, then tighten the screw again. If the knob isn't adjustable, and the oven temperature is off by more than 30 to 40 degrees, you need to replace the thermostat to solve the problem.
