I have found the solution to this problem. There is a big diode on the circuit you can miss it. Ithe number on the diode is 31DQ04 this diode gets shorted out. therefore the display won't light up. Go to radioshack and buy the the following number 276-1143. " rectifier diode" this is what the diode is doing it is rectifying the AC into DC. the problem should go away!!!!!!

It is not the fuse protector. The fuse is not the problem. I hope this helps.

Just try shorting across the fuse protector IP1280 (looks like a resistor) on the Power Board and see if that fixes the problem. If not, I documented some possible solutions in more detail in this forum.

Check little yellow fuse (ip1280) on the supply pcb. I believe it's rated @400ma.

Panasonic SA-DM3 shutting down issue

The amplifier is over heating. Probably the emitters, drivers and voltage regulator is bad. I suggest a clean sweep replacing the power pack integrated amp, all emitters, mosfet regulator, and SRC power switch start up control.

Need Help

This is a major defect in the SA-HT830V dual deck that Panasonic did not honor! I've had two of these and the full lighted display blew out on both of them and one music channel does not work on the dvd player anymore. Piece of junk and I'm very upset with Panasonic for not helping/supporting their products!
