Page 9 of the manual says it goes into Bluetooth Search when you power it on, so get your phone searching and then power the radio on. Pretty much every Bluetooth unit I have come across needs a button pressed to send out the signal.
I don't like this mention of a 'Hands Free Kit' or that is says 'pairs to *most* mobile phones'.
Bluetooth Features: Built-in Bluetooth technology for hands-free talking and audio streaming Bluetooth Profiles Supported: HFP: Hands Free Profile allows a hands-free car kit to connect to a compatible mobile phone A2DP: Advanced Audio Distribution Profile allows high quality audio to be streamed from an audio device to the car stereo Works with most Bluetooth enabled cell phones Includes a built-in microphone for clear, convenient, distortion-free talking
Interesting device. The first thing to check is your Bluetooth connection. Reinstall it on whatever device you are using, called "pairing". This really is NOT a two way radio, there is no push to talk switch and everything depends completely on your Bluetooth device working with the Compilot. So, if paired, check the volume of the device you are talking to, Bluetooth often is quite a bit quieter than you would expect. Post if you need more help!
To turn on the Samsung HM3700 headset, slide the power switch up. (You can see it's location on the image below). The indicator light below the power switch will blink blue 4 times (purple or red means your battery is low). If it stays blue it is ready to sync with your phone. There are 3 ways to sync this device to your phone:
Once the headset is on, hold down the talk button for 3 seconds. (the blue light will stay lit for 3 minutes once you enter pairing/syncing mode).
Activate Bluetooth on your phone and search for the hm3700 (keep them close to each other).
Select the headset and enter a PIN number if asked.
2.) Active Pairing: Once you have held down the talk button for 3 seconds and the blue light is on, press and hold the talk button again to make the blue light purple.
The device will try to automatically connect to your phone for 20 seconds. Your phone should not be connected to other Bluetooth devices during this process.
go into settings, look for wireless controls or bluetooth, should ask you to pair with the name of your bluetooth if it wont, turn off the bluetooth in the phone and turn off the bluetooth itself by holding down the button for about 6 secs till the light blinks a few times then goes out. turn the bluetooth function on on the phone FIRST, wait till it says its on, then turn on the bluetooth itself by holding the button down until the light blinks a few times then you get a solid light, it wont stay solid, it will blink a few times then go out blinking from time to time. go back to your phone and find the bluetooth menu and it should ask you if you want to pair, hit yes or whatever option you have and it should start pairing and then connect or you may have to hit the connect option if you have one they dont all connect automatically sometimes so you have to go through all this when you charge the bluetooth or turn it off. good luck.
if its a bluetooth headset ... other than that no...
if it is the headset you go to settings and accesory settings. Then you go to register bluetooth device. Depending on what it is there are 3 options. Whichever it is click on it. but all i know is how to connect a bluetooth headset. Just press the talk or power button on it until it stays litten up and have the ps3 look for it. hope this helps
