Kodak Z612 I lost the instructions on how to transfer from my camera to the computer. When I go to the "transfer" section, the notices says I may have to press the button on the camera.  What button?  What are the specific instructions?

Go to this site for all information on your camera model
http://www.kodak.com/global/en/service/products/ekn031714.jhtml?pq-path=8812
However, if you have installed the software that came with it, you should only have to plug the cord into the camera and the computer and turn the camera on. If you haven't installed the software, you can install it from the kodak site here:

Kodak z612 shutter button lost

That's amazing to me since most camera makers will send you a part free if it is cosmetic. consider ebay buying a broken one... If you opt for a new camera, consider Canon. Best brand IMO cost/quality.

Cant load pictures from my kodak z612 to my hewlett packard p6823W with windows 7 home premium

Go to Kodak.com and download the latest Easyshare software and install it on your computer. After, that, install drivers for the camera, and you should be able to share the pictures between the camera and computer.

HOW do I format SD cards for Easyshare Z612? Can I use a "PNY 4GB SDHC card?"

You can Format by entering the camera's menu and find the format section. Click Here and see Pages 36-39 for detailed instructions on formatting your SD Card. Also your camera is not capable of reading the High Capacity SD cards (SDHC) so you will have to stick to the SD cards (2gb or smaller)

I cannot transfer my pictures from my Kodak z612 to my computer.. Not sure if it is a cable problem or what.. usually something pops up on my compter,,now nothing shows up..

Consider NOT connecting the camera to the computer.

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive. Or you can use any photo cataloging program.

The videos when transferred from camera to the computer become inaudible. Please suggest how do i make them audible even after i transfer them to the computer.

1. It looks like a codec / media codec problem.

2. Install a multimedia player which can play the camera videos (.mp4, .mpeg, .dat files) like VLC Player, Real Player, KMP Player, etc.

3. You can also play these videos on the media player which came with the software bundle of your Kodak camera.

tell me if it helps...tc! :)

if theres always a lines on the your photos it means that the camera is already defective, I strongly suggest Do not Dismantle the Lens, what you can do is to call kodak toll free 1 800 235 6325 and ask them to send your camera on their Repair center., Gudluck!
