MY lights come on but the LCD screen is blank and it is beeping. Please help

Check that the LCD screen adjustment has not been dimmed or darkened. If that is not the case, then a component is or has most likely failed.

Compaq presario CQ50 106CA. When powered on the power light and wireless light illuminates. The DVD sounds like it's initialising and fan runs, but screen blank. Ihave tried all basic fault finding...

Have you tried turning it on and selecting the function key combination for the screen? For example some screens use FN+F7, hold down the Function key and F7 to cycle between presentation modes.

Hp computer beeps and blank screen what cud be the

Check to make sure the new memory and processor is seated in the slot correctly. If either is not inserted fully it will cause the PC to beep and blank screen as your is doing. If that doesn't fix it your memory could be the wrong type or to large for the PC to recognize. JQ

can you check real close if the screen is very faint instead cause if the illuminator is gone then you might just need to get that fixed instead of the whole screen.

Blank screen on AL 2223W

When you switch on the computer and monitor does the monitor power light illuminated?
If not check the power cable, if the power light is on try connecting it to another computer, if it works on another computer then the fault is in your computer or a faulty video cable (try another video cable).
If the monitor does not work then it is faulty, if it is OK then your computy is faulty.

If the fault is in your computer, you didn't exactly pinpoint the nature of your fault.
Does the power light on your computer illuminated when you power up?
Does your computer actually boot up, does it give and beep code (count the number of beeps - 7 beeps usually means video problems, depends upon the type of BIOS)?
When your computer first boots up and you see POST information on the screen then nothing, it is most likely :-
1. The refresh rate of the video card has been set too high beyond the monitor's specification.
2. Video card configured with incompatible monitor.

If you computer fires up and the monitor is OK the you have a faulty graphics card, you need to replace it.

BLANK SCREEN-ACER ASPIRE 3661

You can check the little indicator light on the notebook.

If the hard drive was dead, that wouldn't cause the display to go blank.
If your problem was with your hard drive, you would still get the BIOS screen and then a message about being unable to load an operating system. So, I doubt if that is the problem.

My guess is that you have a relatively serious motherboard, video card, memory, or CPU problem.

When you turn it on, does it beep ? If so, how many times ? You can translate these beep codes at: http://networking.ringofsaturn.com/PC/beep.php __________________

Beeping noise and blank screen

The beeps are part of the POST (Power On Self-Test). Here's a link to the Lenovo site that might help you interpret the beeps you're hearing:

Good luck.
