Why does my Compaq series PP2130 show a green light but will not turn on?

Reinstall windows, or Factory reset...

check *********** board showing a green light.if light is on then check your system's front button restart&switch on cables are connected properly.

Either your Hard drive (hd) crashed or your hd cable or port is faulty. if your software is corrupt boot with a boot disk (assume you are using XP or Vista), press R on the blue options screen. you will be given a black dos prompt screen. Type in fixboot and type Y for an answer.

Just disconnect the monitor data cable from PC and see, any cable discunnection message comes in Monotor. If that comes in monitor, there is no issue with it

4 blinks, 1 second apart is a power supply overload. Have the power supply replaced if you haven't added any additional hardware lately. But also make sure your hard drive isn't bad and pulling an overload of power. it's rare, but I have seem that happen on some western digital hard drives.

in very laptop there is a switch button that determines if your wlan is on or off. Try finding it and switch it to On. I hope this will help you,, if it doesnt work let me know.

When you connect the power adaptor to the mains and to the laptop and when you turn on the main s the power light should normally glow or else the adaptor id faulty. Try removing the laptop battery and plug it again as sometimes due to jerks there is a loose connection .
