How to remove front panel from ge ice maker model PSS26SGPASS

There is a plastic circle tab on the side of the ice maker that covers a screw turn it to the left. But I doubt it your ice maker I'm pretty sure it's your water valve that is causing your overfilling

The front touch pad board /panel which you are referring is called dispenser board.To access the dispenser board assembly, click this link below:---

make sure your refrigerator unit is level first . If it is , and you have eight square faced plastic cover on the front of the ice maker itself that can be removed by un- snapping it, remove it and see if there is a small screw with a spring underneath it or positive or negative arrow's on the unit where the screw is located. Regardless, if there is a screw all by itself turned the screw 1/2 turn Counterclockwise. this will decrease the amount of time the water valve is open during the ice bin filling cycle.

The schematic to my CAN9 is cast into the front cover.

I would check the door switch that turn the light on for freezer. When the door opens the switch changes to deactivate the controls on the dispenser panel and when shut should turn it back on. I will help you trace the problem because sometimes there is a broken connection from the dispenser panel to control board. Let me know, Sea Breeze

The new P/N is WR30X10093 . It can be ordered from any parts house or online , for just over $ 100.00 .

the front panel should just pop off,but you want to look at the solinardmthat is most likey what need replaced,let me know if it is rusted in the open position-mike

1. Unplug the refrigerator.
2. Remove the icemaker's front cover by unscrewing or prying it off as needed
3. Remove the ice bin, shelves, and vertical partition.
4. Remove remaining screws, disconnect the icemaker wires from the harness connector or socket, and remove the unit from the freezer.
5. Remove the back access panel and any fasteners that hold the inlet valve to the refrigerator.

Yes the power shopuld be there as well..One time i had the same issue and found a mouse had chewed partially thru the wire !!!! Trace it(wires) back down the bottom of the unit left side as it come out the bottom of the door and go towards the back to the board. see if you see a break in there
