Hi Stephanie, the bad news is your machine is toast. However if you remove the cartridges and printhead, you may be able to pick up one of the following second hand that use the same QY6-0080
Printhead. The QY6-0080 fits iP4820, 4910, 4920, 4970; iX6510,6520; MG5210, 5220, 5270, 5310, 5320, 5370; MX711,712,714,715, 882, 886, 892, 894, 895, 897. The printhead is worth more than the machine. Otherwise just buy the latest equivalent model and throw the dead one away.
From the User manual. I draw your attention to the last line. If you can find a logic board cheap enough, it may be worth your effort to replace it. Personally, I'd recycle it and buy another. Printers are relatively cheap.
Check 1: Press the ON button.
Check 2: Make sure that the power plug is securely plugged into the Power Cord Connector of the machine, then turn it back on.
Check 3: Unplug the machine from the power supply, then plug the machine back in and turn the machine back on after leaving it for at least 3 minutes.
If the problem is not resolved, contact the service center.
The Machine Cannot Be Powered On
Sound like you have a logic board or head problem .Did your area have a recent storm?
You can try to unplug it from the outlet for a few minutes and plug it back in.
If it does not work then it may be a doorstop.
Canon does offer a one year warranty with this.
If past a year warranty they usually give a discount on a new purchase from their store
Have you tried holding the power button down for about 5 secs?Has it been operating ok before?
I'm not sure which power source your referring to but plug a lamp into the outlet Avs verify that the outlet is working. If the outlet is working look at the specifications on the power supply for the printer. You might get lucky and have another power supply that you can borrow from another piece of equipment. If both the outlet and the power supply are working properly, than unfortunately it's the power input on the printer which is not worth servicing. It would be cheaper to purchase a new printer.... Also did you look at the trouble shooting pages in the owners manual
