I replaced printhead and now i am getting slightly staggered lines on the plot. The wierd thing is when i plot a print report directly from the plotter itself the lines appear to be straight but when i plot drawing from computer it staggers. i have run printhead alignment but it fails halfway through every time so it never finishes. I am wondering if because it never finished running it doesnt get far enough to align printheads? But if thats the case why does it print correct when i print the log directly from plotter? HELP

What you describe is typically caused by ink aerosol building up on the encoder strip, a thin band of plastic that the printer uses to keep track of its location.
You can gently clean the encoder strip as shown at HP's website here. Be sure to heed to cautions and notes. Do not use any solvents other than water and be gentle to avoid damaging the encoder.

I cleaned the encoder strip but that did not do it. ANy other ideas? Like i said i cant get it to run through the entire head alignment page. My yellow cratridge is out and it stops before it gets to the red. I am wondering if thefact that it doesnt get through the page means it doesnt get a chance to line up.? Any ideas. Thanks
