If you open the door, you may see screws that hold the top cover on the frame to the cabinet. Some model use screws and some use pressure clips that you cannot see. If it is pressure clips then the top is just pressed onto the rest of the cabinet and lifts off. IT can be a real challenge to not ding the paint trying to get the top to lift off. Once you do, you should be able to see the whole drawer dispenser. Attached link shows all the parts and views WF45K6500AV/A2 / 0000 Samsung Washer Parts & Free Repair Help - AppliancePartsPros
if you are patient, if you are lucky, you can take a very flexible tool like a frosting spatula and work it into the right hand side of the dispenser drawer and work it back and forth while moving the drawer in and out from its stuck position and maybe get it over the top of the softner tray and free the drawer. the top of the softner is popped up a bit and is catching on the top of the dispenser's enclosure top. about an inch or so in from the right. takes luck, skill and most of all patience. not easy but maybe less work than removing the dryer and going into the top of the washer. (if you get it out, then thoroughly clean everything up, then file down the front of the softner cup so it will not happen again--or throw away the softner cup and stop using softner) GOOD LUCK
if their is enough of a gap in the drawer , that allows you to see the object blocking it, then try using a spatula to push down on the item and move it back as I suspect that it is stuck on a small protrusion at the top of the drawer.
Ruler, spatula, bend wire coat hanger, insert between oven bottom and drawer and move back and forth in attempt to dislodge object. Note sometimes objects fall behind the drawer.
Take a Norwegian paper-clip.
Straighten one end.
Insert that end into the small hole in the faceplate of the CD-drive, until you feel resistance.
Push it another 1 centimeter (1/4 inch) against the resistance.
This will "unlock" the drawer.
Push the open/close button, to fully open the drawer.
Remove any CD disk.
Does the light flash when you press the button? If so, was there a disk in the drive previously? There is a small hole on the front of the unit. With power off, get a paper clip and open it up halfway. Push the open end into this hole and the drawer should pop open by about half an inch. This will be enough for you to gently pull the drive open and remove anything stuck inside. Ian.
svineyardWelcome to fixya. I'm Huuum and happy to assist you,
You said, Y inherited a GE Spectra XL44 in the home I recently bought so you don't know much about it. There is a pan stuck in the storage
drawer and You can only open the drawer about an inch and a half before
it jams.
You need two people. One strong person to slide the range forward, so he can tilt the range far enough back, that you can access the drawer from the bottom and the pan will fall back inside the drawer as you pull the drawer forward and out enough for you to reach the pan and turn it around or what ever you need to do to get it out! Bravo, I want to hear that you succeed! Be careful not to hurt your self. Bless You Huuum. Please do not forget to leave a rating when you are done.!!!!!!!!
