Most android devices have the same procedure on how to hard reset using its android built-in recovery. If you accessed android built-in recovery, you can choose `Factory Reset/Wipe data` from the options to hard reset your phone. Here are the steps: Step 1. Turn off your device Step 2. Hold and press Power Button + Volume UP + Home Button for 10 to 15 seconds. - If that combination does not work. Try Power Button + Volume up . Or power button + Home Button. Step 3. Android`s built-in recovery menu will show up. You could not use touchwiz( touch screen interface ) here. - So in order to navigate, press Volume Up and Down and Next by using power button. Step 4. You would see four options to choose from. - Select "Wipe data/factory reset" and don`t bother other choices. Step 5. Click Next and scroll down to "Yes-- delete all data" Step 6. After the process is finished, the device will reboot and you can now use your device again.
WARNING: you will lose all data and account settings and will have to do them again.
Hi, unfortunately its a job for a technician, yr fone has to be connected to a computor to access the security setting. Its a quick job provided you have tornado cables. Take it to yr nearest trusted cellular shop.
Factory Reset: go to Settings from the home screen. Click on "Privacy" and then click on "Factory Data Reset." Go through the data reset process. This will remove all personal data from the device.
Or
Shutdown the tab, enter the recovery console by holding both the return button and the power button until you see the android icon with a triangle. Press return button again and recovery menu will appear. Navigate through the recovery menu using vol up/vol dn or home and menu buttons on the tablet. Select "wipe data/factory reset." and then "reboot system now"
You will have to do a factory reset, you will loose all your personal data on the tablet. Should be hold vol- button while pressing the power button. On screen you will see recovery options, select factory reset (wording may be different) by pressing down to cycle through the menu and press vol+ to select.
What exactly did you do? Hard reset set the phone as brand new, and no brand new phone comes with lock pattern. Just pressing the power and volume down key is not hard reset. After pressing theses combinations of keys, and the droid with the exclamation point show up, you must tap the home icon to get to the recovery, and from there scroll down to Wipe Data Factory, to select tap the menu icon, then choose yes and tap the menu icon again to select it. Go back, up to Reboot and tap the menu icon to reboot the phone. There should be no more lock.
It looks like you've been trying to flash a custom ROM. Go to Restore Menu (Vol UP + Home + Pwr) choose (in sequence) - wipe out settings - wipe out Dalvik cache - Factory reset. Then reboot.
Unfortunately if you do not know the pattern you will need to do a factory reset. To do this follow these steps:
Power off phone. Hold VOL UP and HOME while powering phone on Release PWR when phone vibrates Release VOL UP and HOME when recovery screen appears Use VOL DOWN to highlight Wipe Data Press PWR to select Highlight 'Reboot system now' Press Power
I had been trying to locate how to access the recovery options for the XO Vision XTAB tablet as well. Mine would show the XO Vision logo on start-up and then show a cursor in the upper left corner for a few seconds and then showed "ANDROID" a little further down and to the right of the upper left hand corner with a flashing cursor right behind it.
I was finally able to get into the recovery options press HOME, VOLUME UP, & POWER at the same time and hold for about 6 seconds or so. You need to let go before the XO Vision logo goes away. Wait until the logo goes away and a cursor should display in the upper left hand corner and then you'll get to the recovery / update options screen.
Use the VOLUME UP / DOWN keys to navigate the menu and then you'll press MENU to select the option. After that let it run through its processes until it completes. My attempt was unsuccessful at a factory reset and I'm still not sure how to fix it, however, you may have better luck.
